Pack-A-Tank® is an engineered collapsible tank ²designed for storing or transporting drinking
(potable) water or other liquids.  When rolled and stored, it occupies only 1/20th the volume of the
filled tank.  This specification is applicable to tanks up to 20,000 Litres.

Design Parameters

Pack-A-Tank® is designed using large safety factors (6 or greater) on the tensile and tear strength
of the selected fabrics, for both static and dynamic loads encountered during storage and transport.
Fabrics are tested to ASTM Standards recognized worldwide.

Membrane Fabric

Pack-A-Tank® is made from heavy reinforced anti-wicking abrasion resistant synthetic fabric
approved to NSF *61 (drinking water) Standard recognized by Water Authorities Worldwide.

The minimum physical specification of the fabric is;

Base Fabric Type:

Polyester or Nylon (approx 200gsm)

Membrane Fabrication

Pack-A-Tank® membranes are sealed by high frequency welding and reinforced on openings and
corners.  The unique dual welded seam design ensures that no leakage or weeping can occur.
All tanks are pressure and leak tested at manufacture.

Filler Sleeve and Fittings

A large 5” (120mm) diameter filler sleeve gives rapid filling and easy sealing and provides access
for cleaning and, to the outlet valve.  Outlet valves are robust ¼ turn Ball Valves in 1”, 1½”, 2” sizes to
suit tank volume, with female outlet thread for connection of any reticulation fitting.  Valve sizes and
filler design can be varied to suit client requirements.

‘D’ – Double Bottom Tanks

For very heavy use on rough surfaces, a double bottom can be ordered with designation ‘D’.

This is most suitable for frequently moved tanks.
